I wanted a different homemade bread than usual, so I prepared the pistachio bread made with 00 flour and wholemeal flour and it is enriched with Sicilian pistachios, a bread with a slightly different flavor than usual. If you prepare pistachio bread, also prepare a nice platter of cheeses and cold cuts, if you add a nice glass of red wine, you can use it as an aperitif as well as an appetizer;) Moving on to something else, I told you that I would update you on dinner yesterday, well I prepared 4 courses, a savory radicchio pie, some pizzas, a first course with sea bass and courgettes and a coconut and nutella cheesecake, all recipes that you will find in the next few days on the blog, it was a really nice evening and the requests for next week have already arrived :) Now I salute you and get back to work, a greeting to those who pass by: *
How to make pistachio bread
Coarsely chop the pistachios
In a bowl, mix the 2 types of flour, make a hole in the center and pour in the yeast and the water just warmed.
Start working the dough by gradually absorbing all the flour. Now add the chopped pistachios, salt and oil
Knead vigorously until a soft and homogeneous dough is obtained. Put the bread dough to rise in a bowl and cover with a film for 2 hours
Now take the dough, divide it into 2 and form loaves.
Put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and let the bread rise for another hour
With a smooth blade knife make transversal cuts on the surface of the bread, brush with oil and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °
Bake for about 30/35 minutes, then cut the pistachio bread into slices and serve.
