It becomes a very tasty cream. A small tomato as an ornament and basil leaves.

Very good!

Benedikt (Czech Republic, Iceland, Russia), Benedictus, Ben (Netherlands), Pentti (Finland), Benoît (France), Benedict, Ben (Germany), Benedek, Benett, Bence (Hungary), Benedetto, Benito, Bettino (Italy), Bless you (Latvia), Benedict, Bless (Lithuania), Bendik (Norway), Benedykt (Poland), Benedito, Bento (Portugal), Benito (Spain), Bengt (Sweden), Benesh (Israel)

Preparation Dutch sauce (hollandaise)

Melt 100g of butter in a small saucepan and then leave to cool to room temperature. Separate the yolks and place in a metal bowl (or saucepan) that fits on top of another in which the water slowly boils (bain marie). Add lemon juice and a pinch of salt and beat cold until smooth to form a foam.

Place the bowl on a steam bath. The water that boils slowly in the bottom pot should be 2-3 fingers and not touch the bottom of the bowl above. Beat continuously in a bain-marie until the composition is well heated but does not coagulate! Great care because it instantly turns into a breast! It is better to take it off the steam and check the temperature with your finger (it must be hot and creamy, smooth, without lumps).

When the composition is hot, pour the melted butter into a thin strand and continue beating with a whisk. Kind of like mayonnaise.

This wonderful Dutch sauce is seasoned with salt, white pepper and possibly a little more lemon juice. Store on the steam bath (with the fire off) and with a lid until serving (no more than 10 minutes).

State-of-the-art technology for people with visual, hearing and speech impairments, at the National Museum of Art of Romania

Today, in the European Art Gallery of MNAR, multimedia products were launched for people with visual, hearing and speech disabilities, made within the ARTtouch project. The project benefited from the financial support of the Orange Romania Foundation, through the & # 8222The world through color and sound & # 8221, and took place between May 2013 & # 8211 April 2014.
The project included multimedia and augmented reality applications, tactile replicas, textile samples, a & # 8222 sound library & # 8222 and an & # 8222 olfactory library & # 8221 that offers the public with special needs the experience of a multisensory exploration of the European Art Gallery. . In addition, guided tours and special workshops for these categories of public were designed together with the beneficiaries.

Chrysanthemum, golden flower, last flower of autumn

Chrysanthemum is a perennial plant with very decorative flowers, native to Asia (China, Japan) and northeastern Europe. Its name comes from the Greek, from "chrysos" (gold) and "anthos" (flower). It is also called tufanica (dwarf variety, spherical, with rich inflorescence), dumitriță or autumn daisy.

Its flowers, in different colors and shapes, give life to any garden or terrace in the cool autumn days, which extend the flowering period by up to two months. It is a hardy plant, generally healthy, but it is good to know some care techniques so that you can enjoy it until the frost falls and later.

How and where should you plant it?

First of all, it's good to know one thing. Like other plants or animals, chrysanthemum has a physiological reaction throughout the day, a phenomenon called photojournalism. In other words, in order to bloom, it prefers slightly lower temperatures and shorter days. Autumn intensifies its vegetative cycle as it is its flowering period. Therefore, do not plant chrysanthemums near lighting fixtures.

If you have a place and if you want to plant it in the garden, find a sunny place where it will have 4-5 hours of gentle heat and light every day. Although it is not pretentious to the type of soil, in order to have a beautiful and healthy plant, the substrate must be enriched and improved with sand, granules of clay, gravel or perlite. This treatment aims to ensure the best possible drainage and to avoid water stagnation at the root, a common cause of diseases. For good air circulation, you need to keep a minimum distance of 20-30 cm both between the chrysanthemum bushes and the other surrounding plants.

Chrysanthemums like low autumn temperatures (5-15 ° C). However, not all species are resistant to frost. Some species, such as shrubs, withstand lower temperatures (-5 ° C), others are affected as soon as temperatures become negative.

Given this and the vegetative cycle I wrote about, you should plant chrysanthemums in the ground until mid-October. The best time is early spring, when there is no risk of frost, so they have enough time to develop their root system until winter.

Chrysanthemum prefers medium or high atmospheric humidity. If you choose to keep it in a pot over the winter, you should avoid placing it in warm, dry air. This is the reason why there are no flowers suitable to be kept in the apartment, although they can easily stand on the balcony or terrace. Once you get home, it's a good idea to transplant it into terracotta pots with more soil.

How do you take care of the chrysanthemum?

Watering the plant is often done 2-3 times a week, preferably early in the morning. Use moderate amounts of water. The soil should remain moist from one watering to another, but not excessively watered, the main cause of fungal diseases is stagnant water at the root.

Fertilize the soil once a month until the end of July and remove the wilted flowers to prolong the flowering period. If you plant in the garden, prepare the winter plant before the first frost. Some horticulturists recommend cutting the stems 3-4 cm above the ground, others suggest leaving them over the winter. In any case, protect the root with mulch of straw or earth, by mulching.

In early spring, if it has been protected from the cold, the chrysanthemum will sprout from the base of the package and resume its vegetative cycle. It is important to stimulate this process by "pinching", ie to remove the tip of the young shoots when they are 10-15 cm high. Pinching the plant stimulates branching, a compact growth of the bush and will take effect in the fall, when the plant will reach the flowering period again.

In some varieties (those with large, tall flowers) you need to remove the shoots that grow under the leaves, a process called infancy. Once every three years, also in the spring, try to multiply the plant by division, an operation that favors the rejuvenation process.

Bittersweet

Run by announcer blogger Hannah Kaminsky, Bittersweet is a storehouse for creative cooking and more. Hannah is a hobby photographer and a talented knitter and crocheter. And she shares her passions in this space.

Those interested in photography will enjoy photography essays on Sunday, while those looking for new knitting patterns will be softened by food-themed projects such as hot dogs. (Make sure you use acrylic yarns to make them truly vegan!)

Recipe stations always pair food with stories and range from sweet (such as quadruple chocolate honeycombs) to thyme (such as four-layer garden dip). Of course, Hannah has published four cookbooks with vegan desserts, so you would have taken a disadvantage by not scrolling through the dessert section and apologizing for sweets like Tex-Mex ice cream sandwiches (chocolate ice cream jalapeno with flour corn chocolate blondies).

Sophisticated breakfast: Egg Benedict and a piece of health

Cretans are some of the people who live the longest. Why? I can't help but wonder. Because of the ease with which they go through life, their seemingly calm attitude and, perhaps, the fact that they do not let their emotions gnaw from the inside, externalizing them. Food is also part of the equation, meat being rarely present on the plates of these islands. When it comes to regular meals, they prefer to boil down to fresh vegetables (most often picked from their own gardens), fish, cheese, wholemeal bread, lots of garlic and olive oil.

The Mediterranean diet is perfect for health and interesting, but I make no effort to cook and enjoy the dishes as on the shores of this fascinating sea. Somehow, my passion for cheeses, aromatic herbs, white wine, olive oil, fresh vegetables, fruits (less), yogurt sweetened with honey, fish and cooked food is as simple and simple as possible, but I am aware that in this part of the world, ours, not far from the brains of the mountains, life is tasted differently. Tougher than on the sunny beaches of Crete, for example.

Today is my first day off & # 8211 of the two I took this week & # 8211 and I am enjoying this feeling of peace at the height of a crazy week on a Christmas tree. It's agitation, yes, but I'm calm. A perfect and sunny feeling, which allows me to lean more easily on pots, pans, pans, herbs, spices. Of my magical universe, full of spells, from the kitchen.

It's hilarious, maybe, but whenever I'm around my hob, bubbling pots, poles and wooden spoons, I feel like a good concentrated witch turning the ingredients on fire into pure joy.

How to arrange the Easter table

Use the colors of spring: yellow, green or pink. The visual effect must be one that exudes joy and optimism. Put on the table a vase, not very large, with seasonal flowers: tulips or daffodils.

If you want to arrange the whole room for the family meal, you can use garlands, either bought from the store, or made by you or the children, using Easter colors and themes. Use cheerful shades when choosing tablecloths.

A basket of colored eggs should not be missing from the Easter table.

The recommended distance between the guests at the Easter table should be 40-50 centimeters, so when arranging the plates and cutlery take this into account.

The dishes usually consist of a wide, basic plate with a diameter of about 28 centimeters, on which you will place the other plates. This plate will stay on the table permanently.

No more than three cutlery should be placed on one side. If more are needed, they should be brought in the same timbre as the dishes they are used to.

The cutlery is placed as follows: the forks to the left of the plate, arranged from the outside to the inside in the order in which they will be used, the knives to the right of the plate, with the sharp part facing the plate, and the spoon to the right of the plate.

For wine, you need to use standing glasses, which will be placed to the right and in front of the plate, starting with the largest glass. One glass is used for each type of wine. As for the salt shakers, they must be placed at both ends of the table.

General way of preparing asparagus with Dutch sauce

In a large saucepan, boil 1.5 l of water, lemon juice, 25 g butter, 1 teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of sugar (fade the possible bitterness of the asparagus). Bring to a boil over low heat. Wash the asparagus under running water and break each stem where it allows, in the area where it becomes woody (about 1/2 to 2/3 from the top). The tender portions from the top are set aside and cleaned in a thin layer of peel, with the peeler (about a palm below the top the peel is removed) - at the tops it is not necessary because it is extremely fine.

In the background you can see the more woody bases of the stems that will be used for the soup. You can find the recipe for asparagus soup with ham here. Until cooking, keep in cold water with lemon juice (so as not to oxidize).

Melt 100g of butter in a small saucepan and then leave to cool to room temperature. Meanwhile, if the water in the pan has come to a boil, place the asparagus tips in a single row and cover immediately (so that there is steam). Boil on low heat for 10-14 minutes. It is tested with a fork after 10 minutes & # 8230 Must be al dente, not pasty. Don't boil too much! I left it for 10 minutes and then I put out the fire and they stayed in the steam for about 4-5 minutes, under the lid.
