In spite of the change in name and affiliation, Boxwood — formerly the Gordon Ramsay restaurant in London Hotel in West Hollywood — remains both elegant and modern.

The expansive dining room features large windows that are decked out with gold blinds and that frame hilltop views. Guests can dine at round banquettes or wood and marble tabletops.

Chef Anthony Keene’s menu includes a nice selection of appetizers, including an extensive raw bar and a robata grill as well as endive and little gem salads, crab toast, and Spanish octopus.

Mains include ricotta ravioli with pesto sauce, date porridge with scallops, fish and chips, Angus filet, and yellowtail snapper with shiitake mushrooms and yellow Thai curry.

The new Duo section offers sharable plates including an iced seafood platter, garlic shrimp with charred broccoli rapini, roasted beef Wellington with Yorkshire pudding, and chocolate with salted caramel or their signature cotton candy celebration cake for dessert.

The cocktail choices are impressive with standouts like the English Rose with vodka, white cranberry juice, St. Germain, and lime; the Queen Victoria with gin, St. Germain, cucumber, mint, and lime; and the Poppin Good Fun with tequila, blood orange, mint, lemon, and Pop Rocks.

The London has also recently launched a new exclusive gastronomic and nightlife experience package — called “The London Liaison: A Bespoke Nightlife Experience” — which guides guests through a night out in West Hollywood. The evening begins with champagne in a private cabana at the London’s rooftop bar, cocktails at a local lounge, dinner at a West Hollywood hotspot, and VIP table reservations at a nightclub. Available the last Saturday of every month, the package costs $1,500 per person for a group of four and $1,250 per person for a group of six.
